NOTE: One does not have to be a resident of Cambridge to become a member of CAA. A great strength of our organization is its appeal to artists from all over New England.
Artist members are selected through a screening process.
Upcoming membership screening dates are: Please bring 3 pieces of original work, produced within the past two years. (Slides will not be accepted). Also include an artist statement and CV when dropping off your work. All work must be collected the day after the screening. Please label all work with your name, address, phone number and mail address; labels will be available at the drop-off. Artwork must be delivered ready to hang. It is not imperative that your work be framed; however, it must be presented in a manner appropriate to a gallery setting. Please note that CambridgeART will not accept work in u-bank or sandwich frames, giclee reproductions (with the exception of photography), shrink-wrapped work, or unframed work on paper. Please send a completed
application form,
at least one week prior to the screening date,
with a $25 non-refundable processing fee, to: DROP-OFF our work between 12-3pm the day of the screening. If you have a time conflict, please contact the office (617-876-0246) to make alternate arrangements. PICK-UP your work the next day between 12-3pm Pieces left after the pick-up will incur a $5 per day, per piece storage fee. Pieces left for more than 90 days become property of the art association. While work is in the CambridgeART galleries, neither the gallery or its employees assume any liability for damaged work. |
