About the juror: Theo Coulombe
Theo Coulombe has been working in art and photography since receiving his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He’s worked for and with artists such as Shantell Martin, Sue Williams, John Coplans and Paul Garrin and is included in numerous collections.
Coulombe’s work has been exhibited with the New Britain Museum of American Art, Imperial War Museum, London, Tang Teaching Museum, Aldrich Museum, Margaret Bodell Gallery and AOT Project Salon. After living in Williamsburg for twenty-three years, he moved to Sharon, Connecticut, where he opened Standard Space gallery in 2017. Previously, he ran Brooklynphoto Studio and the One Night Only Art series, He has organized solo exhibitions of works by Shantell Martin, Ghost of a Dream, Will Hutnick, Tei Blow, Sean McElroy, Maria Baranova, John-Paul Philippe, Lisa Williams and Jessie English, among others. He is currently Photography Instructor at The Millbrook School.

ELIGIBILITY
CAA welcomes emerging artists of all ages to submit work for consideration for our 2022 Emerging Artists Exhibition. All artists must be living and working in New England (MA, ME, NH, VT, CT, RI). Exhibitors featured in past Emerging Artists Exhibits hosted by the CAA are not eligible.Applicants must meet at least two (2) of the criteria points to be eligible for this exhibition:
- Working artist for 10-years or less
- Graduated from an art/arts-related institution within the past 10-years
- Has not been represented by a commercial gallery (this excludes co-op galleries)
