What are your earliest memories of being artistic?  When I was around 6 years old I would draw pictures of house interiors as if the wall was sliced off and I was looking in.

When did art become a pursuit?  It always has been. When I was in high school I was certain I wanted to further my education in the arts.

Are you self-taught or formally educated in visual art?  Educated. I have my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Design.

What medium do you currently work in and how did you choose this medium?  I love the art of the print. I like to mix contemporary mono printing with digital techniques. The mono printing is fast and spontaneous. The digital allows me to create endless images. Combining the two contrasting techniques creates some cool stuff.

What is your creative process? Where are you finding ideas for your art these days?  My latest significant inspiration was the images on a television screen as it was breaking. Every few minutes, something different would present itself.

How do you choose your subject matter? Is there a reoccurring theme that carries throughout your work?  I’m generally very abstract. Sometimes I get inspired by an object and I will use it over and over again.

In your opinion, what’s your best/favorite piece you’ve made?  That’s tough. It’s like asking which kid is your favorite. I can say I am loving my latest Broken Television series.

What’s your favorite place to see art?  When I am in NYC, I go to Jim Kempner Art. He has works by the contemporary artists that I love. His staff will go into their archives and take out work so you can see it up close and personal. There is something so relaxed and human about it.

What living artists are you inspired by?  There are many! The world is rich with fantastic art. With the internet, we are spoiled to have access to so many beautiful things.

Do you own any art by other artists?  I own a lot of work by other artists. Some early career artist and some by established artists. My husband and I have a small collection of post war contemporary prints…a Robert Rauschenberg and two James Rosenquist pieces.
