ELLIOT AVIS

About | Elliot Avis is a multidisciplinary artist working in Painting, Ceramics, Drawing, Sculpture, and Performance. Elliot was born and raised in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and its suburbs, and received his BFA in studio Art from Denison University this past May. He grew up on construction sites with his father, and wrestling and playing lacrosse year round. Elliot fell in love with the arts after taking ceramics in high school, and his interest’s broadened to other media after his exposure in college. His work uses humor, material, color, and imagery to discuss issues of growing up in the Internet age, and parallel realities. Elliot is very enthusiastic to get his hands on experience with the Cambridge Art Association, and meeting all of its members! See Elliot’s artwork here.

You can meet Elliot in person at our Kathryn Schultz Gallery on Thursdays and Fridays! Or send him an email at eavis@cambridgeart.org

HADLEY GOODMAN

About | Hadley Goodman is a rising sophomore at NYU, where she studies the intersection of Art History and Gender and Sexuality Studies at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Hadley recently returned to Boston after living in London for a year, completing her freshman year abroad at NYU in London. While in London, Hadley explored galleries and museums, and volunteered at The Foundling Museum. She also traveled throughout Europe on weekends, in pursuit of local art and delicious food. Hailing from a family of artists and art lovers, Hadley heard about CAA through word word of mouth and her own research. This summer, she is most looking forward to engaging with artists and learning about inner workings of an art gallery, as she hopes to work in a gallery after graduating. When she is not at CAA, Hadley spends her time practicing yoga, exploring her surroundings, and reading or watching anything she can get her hands on.

You can meet Hadley in person at our Kathryn Schultz Gallery on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Or send her an email at hgoodman@cambridgeart.org
