Non-juried Members Exhibition
About | CAA is happy to announce the return of our non-juried Summer Members Exhibition at CAA @ University Place! The theme this summer is “Out of Office”. We invite all Artist Members (Lifetime, Artist, Associate, Student) to submit artwork that transports us out of the daily grind and into relaxation, adventure, and disconnection! This exhibition welcomes you to dream and get lost in your imagination as you set your status to “Out of Office”.
Please note that approximately 40 artists will be featured in the in-person exhibit at CAA @ University Place, and the rest will be available on CAA’s online exhibit page. We encourage you to apply early to secure a place at CAA @ University Place, as applications will be viewed on a first-come first-served basis. This is open to all media and styles, with the exception of video.
CAA’s Out of Office will be featured at CAA @ University Place Gallery, as well as on CAA’s website for the duration of the exhibition timeline.

IMPORTANT DATES:

- Artwork Drop off | Friday, July 14 from 12-4pm and Saturday, July 15 from 10am-1pm at CAA @ University Place
- Artwork Pick up | Thursday, August 31 and Friday, September 1 from 12-4pm at CAA @ University Place
Please note that all works must be delivered to CAA @ University Place (124 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge) on the scheduled drop-off and pick-up dates. CAA cannot schedule alternate delivery times for this exhibit.
Artists who are not in contact with staff about a late pick-up within 7 days of the official dates will incur a $15 per week fee until the artwork is picked up. The fee must be paid before or at pick-up.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Mediums accepted: 2D, 3D
- All artwork must be available for sale.
- Artwork must not exceed 60 inches on the longest side.
- Artwork must have been created within the past five (5) years.
- Work must be original, no reproductions.
- All work submitted must be available for the exhibition dates.
- Artwork that has been accepted into a CAA show within the past two (2) years will not be considered.
- Artwork must be gallery ready. Read our Art Entry Information page for more details.
- All wall-mounted work must be wired or have D-rings for hanging. The University Place Gallery features a cable hanging system; because of this, we cannot accept other forms of mounting for work featured at University Place.
- In an effort to include as many artists as possible, multi-piece works, including diptychs/triptychs will not be considered for this exhibit.
- Total weight of wall-mounted work must not exceed 25lbs.
- We cannot accommodate works that hang from the ceiling for this exhibit.
- All artwork images should be a maximum file size of 5MB.
- On the submission form we have provided a Frame/Presentation image field. This image is not required. In this field an artist can upload an image of their artwork in the frame, or a second, detail image. It will be added to the online portion of the exhibition to give viewers and potential buyers an idea of what the work looks like in person and installed.
3D WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Total weight of 3D work must not exceed 50lbs.
- Works cannot be wall-mounted and should meet all 2D requirements listed above.
- Artists must supply appropriate installation materials.
- The CAA has a limited number of pedestals. Pedestals can be reserved with CAA Staff upon acceptance. If artwork requires a pedestal of a specific size, the pedestal must be provided by the artist.
