Area Code Art Fair opens on August 1!  It is the first art fair committed to contemporary New England artists. The fair will be online, with live components around the city.

CAA Members Becky Behar, Martha Chason-Sokol, Steven Edson, Basil El Halwagy, Susan Emmerson, Roberta Nigro Hall, Rebecca Skinner, Stephanie Todhunter are featured in the Main Section of the Fair.

Claudia Ruiz Gustafson’s exhibit at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, Historias de Tierra y Mar, was reviewed in Artscope Magazine. The exhibit remains on view through August 28. The virtual exhibit can be viewed here.

Past CAA member, and longtime support Barbara Ross has published a book, Fooling with Mother Nature. The book features artwork by Barbara, alongside topics for discussion to encourage children to become more aware of environmental problems and consider possible solutions. Ted Ollier has work in the Hamilton Wood Type Museum’s 2020 New Impressions Exhibit. While the museum is located in Wisconsin, you can see the exhibit in the museum’s virtual gallery.

 

Deb Peeples’ painting “In Search of Lost Time” is included in the  International Encaustic Artists juried exhibition, Vignettes in Wax and Words, presented in digital magazine format.

 

Jess Hurley Scott was the Featured Gallery Artist at the South Shore Art Center, in Cohasset, from July 13 – 27.
